Wilhelmina Jenkins | 2049 comments Marlon James, author of A Brief History of Seven Killings : A Novel and The Book of Night Women, has chosen Dogeaters by Jessica Hagedorn as the monthly selection for the Wall Street Journal Book Club. Hagedoen is a multiracial woman of color born in the Philippines, which is the setting for her novel, published in 1990.

Has anyone read Dogeaters? Would you recommend it?

Msladydeborah | 5 comments I read the article and decided that it is worth taking the time to read. I just reserved a copy to borrow from our library system. I am number three on the list to borrow it.

Billy Candelaria (azriel) | 1 comments Good day, I'm new in the group. On the Other group I'm with we are discussing Hagedorn's Dogeaters.
