How do you find the story? I am enjoying it because the narrator was really good!
I read this a couple years ago & liked it. :D I need to read the rest of the series at some point. But I'm excited now knowing that Mads Mikkelsen will be in the movie (as Mayor Prentiss). Also, it looks like Nick Jonas is playing Prentiss Jr.@Alyana, Manchee is the best! ♥♥♥
Alyana Pearl wrote: "@Eirelyn and Rachael, I want to continue this series probably after May if you are both interested?"I'm continuing with the series this month but I can pop into the discussion thread next year if you do decide to carry on. I would recommend you read this short story though: The New World. It's a prequel but the author says to read it straight after this book and is available for free online.

I enjoyed it - it was quite dark but good. Were you listening to an audiobook? I tried a couple of chapters via audiobook and I thought the narrator was quite shouty - I know it was to show Todd's anger but it was a bit too much for me so I switched to the paperback version.
Yes I have a copy of the new world too. I am listening to the audiobook, there are two versions, which one did you try? Mine was by Humphrey Bower.
@Alyana, I do want to continue the series at some point. After May is a little far off for me to commit to just yet. Also, I'm being pretty conservative about my reads at the beginning of the year because I really slacked off these past few months, so I am only committing to 1 book per month at this point. XD So far, I am booked up through April. But I'll know better once it gets closer to May & we can decide then, if that's all right. :DAlso, I just ordered all 3 of the extra books (Kindle formats) of the series for free on Amazon: The New World, The Wide, Wide Sea, & Snowscape.
@Eirelyn, yes that's perfectly fine. No rush. I myself is booked until April. I think we have one buddy read together if I'm not mistaken. ☺️
@Alyana, okay great! :D Yeah, I believe we do as well -- What If It's Us, right? I'm looking forward to it.

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!
Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.
Happy Buddy Reading!
