During an evening with a meteor shower, a big meteor descends towards the planet... Except it's not a meteor... Tons of spider-like robotic creatures from a far-off world head towards the planet, ready to devour the technology and everything there.When they crash, the hive separates and begins they're search for food. A small scouting party of about 6 or 7 come out of the ocean and begin to eat the metal buildings around the dock.
Shota was walking along the docks, gazing at the sea with a feeling of homesickness. His tail wiped about, lashing at the barrels and trash cans as he walked by. The young boy sighed, he never fitted in, but now....with these...powers? He was less and less human. What WAS he? Someone had to know the answers.
(The Scrapmetal creatures are still there...)
(I'm aware...although Shota isn't.)
A blue Scrapmetal came up from the boy's left, and quickly devoured a parked car, it then turned and scanned the boy.
Shota heard something and craned his head over to see. A strange, metallic object glittered from the shadows. "What is that?" He asked curiously, and began to walk on over.
The Scrapmetal couldn't tell what this thing was... Was it food? It decided it was best to try it so the hive would be able to learn. It approached the organic creature.
(What is the physical description again? How big is it?)

Shota backed away as he saw a large metallic object - not unlike a spider - crawl out from the darkness. "AH!" He screeched as it come forward. "What ARE you?" He exclaimed in horror and surprise.
The Scrapmetal just screeched in its own language and charged at the boy, attempting to devour him.
He jumped up fast, his tail dangling below his feet, and landed on a crate. "Whoa there. Don't dash at me, you...robo-spider? Is this someone's battle-bot or something?" He asked, expecting some voice to answer, claiming their creation.
It hissed. The hive wanted to know, was this good or food or not. But they craved it... Craved metal. The Scrapmetal ate 3 crates in less then 3 minutes.
No one responded. He got worried. "O~kay." He said nervously, and hopped down. He walked behind it slowly. He tried to be as quite as possible.
The Scrapmetal but it's leg in the person's way. It was time to taste it. It leaned down and prepared to devour the organic creature.
Shota's body reacted quickly, turning his leg into a non-organic material that the creature could not consume. "Whaaa?!" He cried out as his leg changed. It felt weird, like his leg was hard, thick, and heavy - like a large block of stone.
That was... Unexpected... The give responded quickly to the scout. They gave a command to destroy it. He aimed his gun at the creature and began to fire on it.
Shota fell back, the bullets pierced his skin. Some did bounce off, but not all. He cried out as he hit the ground. He began to get angry. "What the hell?!"
The creature attempted to pin him down as it kept firing at him.
Shota burst into white-hot flames for a split second, trying to get the creature away from him. At this point, the bullets just bounced off, but the did cause bruising.
