My first book of the year is going to be The Metamorphosis, which has been on my tbr for a long time. It fits for26. A short book (<210 pages) by a new-to-you author
This will be the fifth year I’ve done the ATY challenge, and this is the first time I’ve been really ho-hum about the list. And, I’ve learned that books I select to read months in advance rarely interest me when the time finally comes for me to read them. So, I’ve intentionally left most of my prompts blank. I am going to read what interests me, and see where they fit. And... I am for the first time going to prioritize another group’s challenge, and do this as a side challenge.
I will be finishing The World That We Knew before i start my 2021 reading. I haven’t even bothered to look where it might fit into my 2020 prompts.
I hope 2021 holds good things for us all.
Well, before The Metamorphosis, I'm reading The Captain's Daughter for 21. A book whose title and author both contain the letter "u"

One strange book, I must say. I wanted to read one of her other books, but this was available at the library. I am really glad I read this one, but I’m not raring to pick up another of her books.

A book that you had to wait for
To remind myself which prompt it fits so I don’t have to go through that list again!
The sole focus of this book isn't racism or race relations, but it gives a lot of insight to both through its portrayal of Noel Annance's life.I came across several of Annance's letters through my work, and his predicament/passion/eloquence/story intrigued me. Shortly thereafter, this book was published. How often does that happen?
