Perjalanan is....... not my cup of tea. Knowledge wise, a good one but the sex creeps me out 'cause the guy did a surgery to obtain a vagina

Some friends have read 'Perjalanan', all with mixed reviews. Discussions arises: is it based on true stories? has this been the reality which occurred in our community even way back then? is it that easy to 'transgender'? What do you think? I have mixed feelings about wanting to read this book, knowing very well i wont be comfortable about the sex part.

If you wanna read it, go ahead. Skip the sex part if you must. The book just highlight the hardships faced by a woman trapped in a man's body. If I were him, I'd rather just crossdress than cutting of my penis. It seems too much of a hassle.
