I just ordered The Body and The Midnight Club on thriftbooks and got Final Exam via kindle. I already own The Wrong Girl, so once the 2 thriftbooks books comes in i'll be set for March - June.

I don’t have the body and one other. They cost too much on thrift books when I looked last time. Melanie is supposed to send me the body I think. But since it’s overseas it will be awhile. I’ll read most of the books with y’all though 😊

I'm sorry they were too much, I got The Body and The Midnight Club for less than $5 each on thriftbooks, at least when they get here anyway. I'll have to see in the next couple months if I can get July - December.

I dream almost constantly and most times they are weird or horror filled and I don’t mean like creatures. I mean like real people or family members dying or that have died and I wake up crying or scared. Well I wake up scared every morning due to my panic and stuff and I’ve been real suicidal lately. Sigh

that's awful, sorry i brought it up! I've only dreamed one thing that came true. i dreamed it over & over and eventually it did happen. It destroyed everything i knew but i think my dream was my warnings. I think it would have been a lot worse if i hadn't had them. i hope i never dream like that again.

Finished this today. It was good--but I thought it was maybe 20-30 pages too long. But I liked it! How awful was Heath????

There was one thing that confused me. I was multitasking a little while reading, so I think that I maybe missed something. (view spoiler)[I can't think of any reason that Heath had a jaguar amulet other than him killing a kitten but that doesn't seem like it is the right explanation for that plot point. (hide spoiler)]

The author made some weird choices that I enjoyed. I liked that the dreams were mostly not very imaginative. They were mostly in locations around Katie's house and didn't involve anything too supernatural. It kept it from feeling too reminiscent of A Nightmare on Elm Street, even though I do really love A Nightmare on Elm Street. I thought Heath's characterization was interesting. (view spoiler)[Most of his power over Katie comes from him knowing more about what is going on than she does. He's dangerous, but he's also cocky and dumb. (hide spoiler)]

Like Jen, the pacing was a problem for me. I thought the middle section was too long and the beginning could have been slower. Heath was terrible right from the start. I would have liked a bit more suspense.

Since I started taking prescription medication for nightmares, I don't remember what I dream about as often as I used to. They're usually either really ordinary and mundane dreams that I can't tell if I'm awake or my subconscious thinks they're a giallo director making a movie about the end of the world.
