~KarenH~ | 6903 comments February - Jaci Burton

Jaci Burton is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author. She has published over 50 books in a variety of sub-genres, but concentrates mostly on contemporary erotic romance. Jaci's interest in writing began when she was in her teens. Over the years she developed a love of reading romance novels and dabbled in writing off and on, but never seriously as marriage, work and raising two sons took priority. After her sons were grown, her husband Charlie (aka Biker Dude), discovered her interest in writing and encouraged her to pursue it more seriously. She wrote several novels that remained unpublished before her first success - her novel Paradise Awakening was published in 2003.

Jaci lives in Oklahoma with her husband and their dogs, and when she's not writing she can often be found in her garden, at the local casino, riding on the back of Biker Dude's Harley, or watching way too much TV.

Jaci's GR page is here: Jaci Burton

Before you start Hope Flames, you should check out Hope Smolders Hope Smolders (Hope, #0.5) by Jaci Burton . It's a little prequel/novella about another couple in town. It's a short and sweet intro to the series. Just a thought for you :)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments I'm a C - I might have read a short or something - not sure. But I've actually avoided her books for some reason. I will look and see what I can find.

message 31: by Calila (new)

Calila | 2744 comments I finished Rescue Me. Wasn't not her best, or at least not my favorite.

Started a B, ending a High C/Low B

Ally.Always.Reads (allym612) I started and finished Quarterback Draw a few days. I loved it. I honestly didn't think that I would since I loved the Riley's so much.. I didn't think anyone could compare to them but I am definitely looking forward to reading about the rest of the Cassidy clan!

End point: still an A. I doubt that will ever change. I've loved everything I've read by her.

message 33: by Katharina (new)

Katharina | 802 comments I read all of her Kent series. I started as a C and am now a B. The author could use a better editor. Bad editing pulled me at times out of the story. For example: They got into the truck, then he drove away in a car, then it's a truck again. It wasn't 2 vehicles. She just used the word car instead of truck.

I did enjoy all 3 books, but my favorite was A Rare Gift

All She Wants For Christmas (Kent Brothers, #1) by Jaci Burton A Rare Gift (Kent Brothers, #2) by Jaci Burton The Best Thing (Kent Brothers, #3) by Jaci Burton

Finishing as a B.

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments I realized that I had read one book by this author, just didn't remember it. So I guess technically I started as a B not a C.

I read Dare To Love by Jaci Burton which was short and just OK. It's probably one of her older ones, so I may not have given her a fair chance. But I remain a B. No hurry for me.

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1641 comments Ok so I'm trying to find out if anyone has The Perfect Play to loan? Thought this would be a good place to ask. :)

it doesn't show as lendable on the kindle

Patricia Solla (tedebear1998) | 244 comments Sorry to say I'm not going to complete this challenge this month. February has been a lousy month weather wise. I can count on one hand how many days I've gotten out of the house. I've been reading and knitting but I don't have a book by this author at home. I stil plan on reading a book by her but it will have to be in a better weather month.

message 45: by Shelby (new)

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1641 comments Thanks Nadine. I got a hold of it. :)

Have to say though I didn't love it. The Perfect Play (2/25) ★★½ The sex scenes were repetitive and annoying and the whole thing felt too pat over the top romantic. I really didn't like it that much. But I am admittedly a little curious about the the brother.

Gavin's book is next in the series. Love the Riley family.

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2049 comments I started out a C and ended up an A.

I read The Perfect Play (Play by Play, #1) by Jaci Burton and enjoyed it. I'm not usually into sports romance but this was good. I'll definately pick up the next book in the series.

message 48: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I guess i'm officially a C...I tried to read Bound, Branded, & Brazen and it just did nothing for me and since her other books have been 2 star reads for me I think i'm done - which is a pity because her books would normally be right up my alley
