Scottish romance about an English woman who is thrown together with a very young boy who has been kidnapped. The boy was taken by mistake instead of another laird's younger brother. She is able to break them out but ends up having to lie and say that she is a laird's betrothed in order to get him to come to them. During their escape the young boy accidently cuts her and she later has to have the cut burned with "liquid" fire or something. I read the description a while ago but don't remember the title or author. I know it's not a lot to go on but hopefully someone has an idea or guess.
