Hi, Cassie-

Congratulations on starting your first project! If you'd like a second one, mine is fairly short (15,000 words) contemporary, science-based middle grade:

Layla is an astronomy-obsessed 5th grader who plans an eclipse expedition for her family that doesn't always go as planned. For kids 7-12. Includes science facts and activities.

I've already incorporated comments from my critique group on the full manuscript, so it's (mostly, hopefully) almost ready to go out the door. I have published nonfiction articles and one book, but this is my first novel.

I don't need detailed edits and critique, just a single read-through + general comments along the lines of the Beta Reader Checklist. PM if this project sounds interesting to you. It would be a good project for you if you'd like to explore children's publishing.
