The Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) invites authors, publishers, vendors, educational and not-for-profit organizations, and businesses to exhibit during the 9th National Conference of African American Librarians (NCAAL). This bi-annual conference will be held August 4-8, 2015, in St. Louis, MO at the Hyatt Regency at the St. Louis Arch.

Dennis Kitainik Why do you always have to divide everyone by race? Or perhaps white librarians should have their own conference too?

message 3: by (new) (Troy Johnson) (aalbc) | 2 comments Hi Dennis, (I don't speak for the organizers)It is not unusual for groups of people with a shared background or common interests to gather. The conference is not "Blacks Only." Anyone interested in African American literature or learning more about related issues are encouraged to attend. Also, there is only one "race."
