Combine Authors

I have two different spellings for my author name on Goodreads: A.S. Thornton and A. S. Thornton -- I have A.S. Thornton claimed but would like to change it to A. S. Thornton (which I can't since that "author" exists on Goodreads already). Can they be combined, or can the one be deleted so I can change my name to A. S. Thornton?

The name you are assigned to currently is the correct one. As long as there are no books or followers on the other profile, it will disappear after a while. If there are books we can move them; if there are followers you'll have to contact support as librarians cannot merge claimed author profiles.
