Michael (mikescrill) | 2 comments Hello Everyone,

When I was around 10 (I'm 44 now) I read these series of books about this little robot girl and how she had to do all these adventures to help her owner / parent. I remember how much I loved those books, but after all these years, I truly do not remember any of the details beyond the little robot girl!

The books were basically the TV show "small wonder", before that TV show existed (I think!).

Knowing how much I loved those books, I want to start reading them to my kids, but that's kind of tough when you can't remember any details, specifically the NAME of the books! :-)

Any help would be awesome.

Michael (mikescrill) | 2 comments so, I'm pretty sure I got it all wrong and I THINK I finally got the answer. I believe the books I read were the Not Quite Human books, which are actually about a robot boy and his real life sister! I am fairly certain that this is right (the timing is right and the name strikes a bell but not a real memory, unfortunately).

If for any reason anyone thinks they have a better idea than this, I'm willing to hear :-)

Getting old sucks, lol!

Google Books has a "snippet search" of Batteries Not Included by Seth McEvoy. You might get lucky searching for keywords in this preview:

https://books.google.com/books?output... There are different cover images.

Here is Wikipedia's basic plot summary of the "Not Quite Human" series - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Not_Qui...
