Sandy B (sbenemer) | 124 comments A wild ride through a gothic, haunted house set in 1950’s Mexico that starts out normally enough but finishes with a huge “paranormal” (and insanely creepy) bang. A superb, fast-paced read; I finished it in under 24 hours. One of my favorites for 2020.

Thanks for the review! Really excited to read this book, and it goes with my autumn theme of witches/gothic/paranormal + historical.

Sandy B (sbenemer) | 124 comments I was never bored, not once - and that in itself is a feat. I hope you enjoy it!

What a fun read! Recently watched Lovecraft Country on HBO (one of my favourite shows this year) and amazing how I found this book really 'relatable' to that TV series!

Sandy B (sbenemer) | 124 comments Glad you enjoyed it - I read that Hulu are developing it into a series, so you can eventually watch the direct book adaptation too. I’ll check out the series you mentioned in the meantime!
