Adult Contemporary Romance. Heroine sent to stop her sister from marrying hero's brother

The heroine is sent by either her rich aunt or grandmother to stop her sister from marrying the hero's brother. Sister is wild and she isn't there. Heroine falls for hero while waiting for sister to return. Setting is a ranch or farm outside of a small town. Hero's dog brings a snake into the house via patio door and leaves it in heroine's bed. H & H sleep together. Heroine's grandmother cuts off her financial support and ships her stuff to her. Heroine tells hero she is going home. He drops her at a motel in town but she really gets a job at a local bar/roadhouse to earn money and rents an upstairs attached apartment. Hero goes out to have drinks with friends and finds her working in bar. Heroine eventually returns to aunt (or grandmother?) In a big city and the hero shows up to take her back home with him. Maybe harlequin or silouette, not sure. 2000-2016?
