Hey, guys! I guess I'll just post random things here lol. I'm currently reading Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All and I'm loving it! It's so mysterious-perfect for now!

message 2: by katie ❀ (new)

katie ❀ (whisperngpages) hi! I tried reading that book, but I quit it 😭

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) | 1428 comments Oohh, I'll definitely try and get those books soon!! I love mystery xD

@Katie
Yeah, I can kind of see that happening. I haven't read an actual book in about a week due to school:( So I have been leaning on audiobooks a lot and started a new one called Rated.

Does any one have a favorite class/teacher in school?

message 8: by Srujan, Bibliophile (new)

Srujan (srujanreads) | 1320 comments Mod
Our physical classes have not started most they won't start this year.
But my most favorite classes are history, physics and maths. They are most favorite.

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) | 1428 comments I don't go to school, but my favourite subjects are social studies and science (specifically biology) and meal times =)
Least favourite... SPORTS AND CHINESE! AHH!

Even my favorite subject is biology, specifically the human physiology. I find it very fascinating!

Physiology? Me too! It's fun! We're studying plants right now, and we don't have it this year though!

Wow you guys are smart. My least favorite subject is Biology and math. I really like English.

Does anyone enjoy playing sports? I joined the XC team this year and we had our third meet yesterday (second one I ran in bc I thought I wasn't ready to run the first). It feels horrible running but in the end I'm glad I did it.

Amanda Artist Cat (amandawholovesbooks) | 1428 comments Oh yay! I'm so glad you did it :)
I don't like sports much but I do a bit of badminton because my Mum made me, haha 😹🏸

Lol, I get C’s for PE, and during every PE lesson the teacher is always lecturing me only and trying to teach me stuff because I really suck 😂

I dropped PE in class 9th and took Arts instead of that and I am soo happy with that decision. But yes I like to watch cricket!!! And while watching I shout Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!!(he was captain of Indian cricket team but he retired now😭😢😢)

message 19: by Ojas (new)

Ojas | 211 comments I hate PE in school but I love tennis and basketball! I think if you practice and get the hang of a specific sport, it's fantastic! Then you start enjoying!

Like is there really a prom? Or the teen romance, no school uniforms? Etc..
Cause we have nothing like that.

This is really scattered, messy and not in any kind of order, but:

Well, I can tell you about elementary school in US (K- 5). I used to go there in 4th and 5th. Not that much like movies as movies only show middle and high school. No uniforms (but there is a dress code.) Romance starts in 5th, but it's minor. No proms, after all it is elementary.

From here, I'll talk about the school I went to. Weatherstone Elementary. 25 touchscreen Chromebooks per class including Kindergarten. Lots of fundraisers. It was a government school so in order to pay for Chromebooks and all, we needed fundraisers. Awards for fundraisers too! The more you pay, the cooler the thing everyone does. (We duct-taped our Principal to a wall!)
Virtual Reality headsets. We had 5- 7 cupboards for the school. In 1 of these we got 30 headsets. There were 22- 30 kids per class.
30 mins of recess: Go and do whatever you want on the school grounds. Bring your own device to school if you want to.

From here, it is the little bit I learned about Middle School. Bad things: Smoking, Vaping, Bullying, Homework (If you think homework is bad.) In 8th, slowly kissing (eww). They get to choose electives which means that you get a choice of which arts you want to pursue and which subjects you want to learn. I don't have experience in middle school so I don't know more.

Cool! I wish we had such schools in India🤔😕

message 48: by Ojas (new)

Ojas | 211 comments I know. I tried my best to bring such changes, but the principal shut down my attempts. I guess she found them a bit... rebellious...

message 49: by Srujan, Bibliophile (new)

Srujan (srujanreads) | 1320 comments Mod
We just focus on Academics and nothing else and hate that thing.

message 50: by Ojas (new)

Ojas | 211 comments Exactly. The students in our schools are powered by fear, and not desire to learn. Btw, check out wcpss.net for my school county website.
