A wonderful adventure story. It felt like a cross between Harry Potter and Horatio Hornblower.

A young boy saves a village from attackers by summoning a fog. Everyone realizes he has potential as a wizard or a sorcerer, and so he's set on his life's path.

This is the first book in a long series of adventures in the world of Earthsea.

I loved this series of books. They get better, I hope you will continue them. I love her writing-She truly is the Grand Mistress of this genre
