Elizabeth (elizabethsbooks) | 8 comments Hello, I have found a book that had its English editions separated out from its parent if someone could combine them? I've never done this before and I'm afraid I would accidentally screw this up since I mostly just casually update books I physically am holding with just missing field data.

I tried to fix this but, when I click combine only the other English books in the series pop-up, I'm pretty sure this is because the English books list the author as Piro Shiki and ALL the other editions list them as Piroshiki. Is there a way to have an alternate name for an author and if so can we get the English books back on all the other editions? Library of Congress lists Piroshiki as the correct name, but amazon seems dead set as listing him as Piro shiki because the cover art displays his name as Piro SHIKI.

All the English versions of the series seem to be under the Piro shiki name, but there some weird discrepancies with maybe the french editions. Could a Librarian with more skill take this over?*edit: I did myself* It seems a giant snarl mess.

Here are some links to what I am talking about.

Book 3 as an example.

I would have posted this to the series tab but they are all correctly numbered just not with the right author and editions. Thank you for any help.

Elizabeth (elizabethsbooks) | 8 comments Okay after going through the manual I have decided, regardless of how a name is presented on a cover i.e. kerning, the Library of Congress authority is what we want so I will merge the two authors and set them as primary and the other name as Illustrator.
