SOLVED. Thriller/drama? about a young deaf girl and her mother(?) driving a lorry/truck through snow? [s]

I believe I read this within the last 10 years. I think it was a thriller, or maybe a drama. There was a young (maybe around 5 yr old) deaf girl and her mother who I believe was hearing. For some reason they were driving a lorry or large truck through somewhere very snowy, maybe Alaska? I think at some point they used a cb radio. Someone may have tried to run them off the road? The father may have been stuck back at home? I think it was set in America though I’m not sure.
There were passages in the voice of the deaf girl in a different font, and maybe written quite poetically/ experimentally.
I think the cover of the book was mainly white or light coloured.
