Dana (danababy1076) | 2 comments Published/set in the 80s, paperback edition had a mostly white cover, with red writing (Possibly "A Matter of _____"). Written by a USMA graduate or former cadet (possibly Michael something starting with an "F", but I'm not clear on that). The story follows a soldier who was accepted at West Point after enlistment (a Mustang), and his his journey in the Corps of Cadets. Includes phrases like "cooperate to graduate" "did you take Hill 402 (number changes through story)?". Also has female cadets (and themes of assault), possible suicide, a cheating scandal, struggles will "Beast Barracks", and the knowledge and acceptance of never being able to complete the amount of work assigned, hazing... The story ends with graduation, and the newly commissioned second Lieutenant marrying his hs sweetheart, I believe.
