I read this book when I was in the 6th grade, around 2004. I think the book was called "The Abductors". A boy's dog was stolen and he finds the men that took her. They are "training" stolen dogs and selling them as protection/guard dogs.

I'm looking for the author because when I try to find the book, I cannot find it.
