Helena Henriques (bluebellgirl) Little Women is my favorite.

message 3: by Jesse (new)

Jesse | 232 comments I'd have to put it to three. (Too hard lol) and not ranked in any order.

1: The Outsiders
2:The Fellowship of the Ring
3:The Maze Runner. But I haven't read it for awhile, so I'll probably re-read and see if it's still in my top three :)

message 4: by Elisabeth (new)

This is tough.... I have a favorite book for each genre.
historical fiction - The water seeker

fantasy - I CANT CHOOSE JUST ONE! The chronicles of Narnia, heartless, and the lunar chronicles.

romance - Sense and sense ability
dystopian - Hunger games
theological - The screw-tape letters (i think that's kinda theological?)
mystery- the phantom of the opera

The Reckoners.
The Hunger Games series
The Maze Runner series
The Testing series
Matched series
Brotherband Chronicles
The Rangers Apprentice series
Those are some of my favorite books.

message 36: by Jesse (new)

Jesse | 232 comments I love Maze Runner and The Rangers Apprentice as well! And of course the Reckoners series is amazing!

Jesse wrote: "I love Maze Runner and The Rangers Apprentice as well! And of course the Reckoners series is amazing!"

Yes! The Ranger's Apprentice is the series that really got me reading. You're actually the first Sanderson fan I've met that has actually read the Reckoners series! Everyone else doesn't even know it exists.

message 38: by Jesse (new)

Jesse | 232 comments Same! Every looks at Mistborn when they think of Sanderson--even though it's still amazing. I don't see enough people talk about the Reckoners.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Ikr! It's so underrated! I mean come on, its superpowers! How is it not popular?

message 40: by Jesse (new)

Jesse | 232 comments Hard agree! You got superpower books like I Am Number Four, though is entertaining, is written pretty poorly and they made a movie out of it.
I'd love to see Brandon's books made into movies.

I do not like sps at all.

@jesse is “I’m number 4” nice? 😀 I have it but i dont know if I should read it...

Jesse | 232 comments Sophie wrote: "@jesse is “I’m number 4” nice? 😀 I have it but i dont know if I should read it..."

Yeah, it's pretty good. The whole series is VERY entertaining. The only thing I'd have to complain about is A) the writing quality is pretty poor and B) it is super stereotypical that it's funny.
I'd say try it, though. They are the books that got me back into reading.

message 44: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte Fairbanks | 149 comments The Gardenia Curse is really good! It's not very popular on Goodreads but I know the author and she's really awesome! The book is great, entertaining, and it grabs you right on the first page!
