Yadriel has summoned a ghost, and now he can’t get rid of him.

When his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting his gender, Yadriel becomes determined to prove himself a real brujo. With the help of his cousin and best friend Maritza, he performs the ritual himself, and then sets out to find the ghost of his murdered cousin and set it free.

However, the ghost he summons is actually Julian Diaz, the school’s resident bad boy, and Julian is not about to go quietly into death. He’s determined to find out what happened and tie up some loose ends before he leaves. Left with no choice, Yadriel agrees to help Julian, so that they can both get what they want. But the longer Yadriel spends with Julian, the less he wants to let him leave.

Julian is described as the "bad boy" but in my opinion, he's just softie. He cares for his friends and his talkative nature is so amusing and endearing. (hide spoiler)]

Ch 12 (view spoiler)[Julian continues to make me laugh but wow, he has a temper... I guess that's why they call him the "bad boy" haha. I'm curious about how his and Miguel's attacks are connected. I find it so suspicious that both their bodies haven't been found yet and Julian's necklace was found where Miguel was last seen. I can't wait to read more now that Luca is helping Yads and Maritza! Ch 20 (view spoiler)[My heart can't handle the wholesomeness of Julian and Yadriel's relationship. They are so sweet together and bring the best qualities out of each other. I hope there will be a HEA, but I have a feeling there will be a twist. Yadriel mentioned brujas can bring the dead back to life. I wonder if Maritza will do that, but this is unlikely because she's not a fan of using animal blood. Unless someone else will do it? Hmm (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[I can’t say I was surprised Yad’s Tío was behind all this. That was so disappointing because he genuinely cared about Yads and I was rooting for him. So I was correct in saying Miguel and Julian were linked and their bodies were hidden somewhere. I'm just happy everyone got their HEA

The story was so heartwarming. I loved Yadriel, Julian and Maritza. They truly made the book shine. I really enjoyed this and I'm glad this book exists! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13
(view spoiler)[It seems like Julian's dead (I don't think he is dead) and Miguel's too are connected somehow and I think is connected to la jarra de jaguar, maybe someone is using live persons or in coma persons to invoke the God? I liked so much how Santa Muerte religion is described I knew so little about it but this book just keeps surprising me.

Julian is such a cutie pie and I love how open and straightforward he is with Yadriel. I want to know how this is going to end. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I loved this book! It was so damn cute and heartwarming, I loved how every issue was brought up and how every character had a slow development in the whole book specially Yadriel's father Enrique.

I knew his Tío was the one with the jarra de jaguar but I still was nervous while reading that chapter and can we please give a crown to Maritza? I laughed so hard when she answer back Santa Muerte.

I want to read already Aiden's new book, he is amazing. I loved how cute Yadriel and Julian were and more that Julian actually remembered everything and wasn't nervous at all around Yadriel when he woke up. Liked everything. Period. (hide spoiler)]

Martiza is so sassy. I love her so much! The audiobook narrator gave her a sassy attitude and it was so much fun to listen to. I was laughing the whole time

In the audiobook version, there was an author's interview with Aiden. He said that he might revisit Yadriel and Julian's story. I hope so!! Because I need more of them in my life lol (hide spoiler)]
