Georgie-who-is-Sarah-Drew (sarahdrew) | 16 comments Could someone possibly look at Busman's Honeymoon by Dorothy L. Sayers. There are (at a rough guess) 300 Kindle editions, all dated 2018-2020 with the same cover, differing only in the ASIN number. It just seems inherently unlikely that there would be SO MANY Kindle editions.
Thanks,
Sarah

lethe | 13788 comments If they have different ASINs, they are different editions.

This happens often to books by classic authors.

(NB In future, a link to the book is appreciated.)

Emily | 14791 comments The book is in the public domain in Canada, so that may be another reason there are so many editions. Books in the public domain are released very often.

Sandra | 25259 comments Amazon, does use different asin numbers for different countries, quite often. 300 does sound excessive though. But if they are listed and have different asins, not much we can do about it.

We can't prove they didn't exist, so they get to stay.

Georgie-who-is-Sarah-Drew (sarahdrew) | 16 comments Thanks for the feedback. Clearly someone has had a LOT of time on their hands to upload this many editions, but as you say, if we can't prove they don't exist...

I'll remember to post a link next time.

Thanks, Sarah

Ah, that was what I actually meant. Public domain =/= (necessarily) classic :)

Emily | 14791 comments They are imported automatically from Amazon, so at least we know someone isn't spending all day entering them into Goodreads!
