I have - and I loved it!

That sounds great to me, Catherine!

I have just posted that in the wrong place! Sorry, Wes and Somer!

What inspired you to take on the theme of traumatic accidents inducing the ability to fly?
How did you decide to collaborate on this book as a team?

I started yesterday and up to about 20%. So far, so good!
I used to have flying dreams when I was a teenager.
I was going to ask the same questions Andrew asked above.

To be completely honest, I can't remember. The idea for this story was something that had been tumbling around in my head for many years before the first word was typed. When I knew this book would be about people gaining the ability to fly, why give something so extraordinary to someone able-bodied? Someone like Charlie who's had the use of her legs taken from her could appreciate a gift like that so much more.
As far as the collaboration goes, I hadn't worked on a story with anyone in nearly a decade, the last being a novelette I co-wrote with a friend called "Home Invasion" which is in my short story collection RESISTING MADNESS. I've been wanting to so something like that again for a long time, and since Somer and I have been close friends for a while and I was a big fan of her work, it was a no-brainer.

I've never had flying dreams, but I still have occasional ones of running away from someone and my feet not moving, like I'm running through oil. Scary stuff!
