Oh My God the cover! Was there a book behind that cover - I'm sure some would-be readers may never know!

This was a classic paranormal romance. The plot only exists to prop up the romance story line, so who cares if its ridiculous and thin.

This is the first book in a new series based in the Darkness universe. Supposedly you can jump right in here without reading the first 9 Darkness books. But there were some parts where I started to wish I knew some back story. For example (view spoiler)[ in chapter 7 we go from "normal" to "1/2 the earth's population and many major cities have been wiped out by dragons". Clearly a major story line from the Darkness series, but it's covered in just a couple sentences. (hide spoiler)]

So the plot? I've already forgotten. But the steamy romance was great.
