I'm suggesting a book of short stories:
St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves, by Karen Russell
St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves by Karen Russell

It seems a combination of coming-of-age, symbolism & magical realism, the sort of writing that brings up childhood memories and challenges the reader to look at them again, through adult eyes.

I propose a book of transformation:
The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri
The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri

Sounds to me like a story about the journey one takes to change his/her life upon losing or giving up the old one. The journey here starts in Syria and carries the protagonists through Turkey and Greece towards an uncertain future in Britain.

I propose a book about introspection and human nature:
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis

For me, the letters are written with a serious tone, with a flavor of satire, describing the challenges people are facing on Earth and the many temptations that influence, or not, those challenges.
