The Girl in the Tower has given a full and vital picture of the wars, the shifting alliances, the ambitions, of the monks, priests, merchants, peasants, princesses, nuns, and faiths that made up this incredible era. I enjoyed the building suspense really much as well as the fighting. They kept my eyes glued to the book!
I was so hurt when Sasha and Olga didn't believe Vasya. I love Vasya with all my heart and it pains me to see her heart break again and again. This is an epic tale full of twists and turns along with a flavour of Russian tradition and culture. Definitely enjoyed the book!
