YA fiction written probably between late 80s-mid 1990s protagonist (names Juliette or Jeanette or something like that) lost in woods because she seperated from her "friend" after he became a creep.

I think this book was part of a two or 3 book series but I only ever read the first one, probably around 1998. There's a female protagonist with a J name and she's on a camping trip with someone she thinks is a friend but decides to part ways with him after he becomes a sexually harassing creep. If I remember correctly, there are scenes where she's exercising in trees and she carries around a copy of Kiplings "If" poem, or maybe just has it memorized and recites it for comfort. Any leads would be appreciated!
