Alaina, I listed to in on audible, so my experience may have been different from people who read it. It's in 3rd person which I usually don't enjoy as much as 1st person, but the narrator was really good and kept me engaged.

I really liked Alice and it was nice seeing her personal growth throughout the novel. She doesn't struggle with her sexual identity, she more worries about how other people (mainly people in her family and anyone she could potentially have a relationship with) respond if they know. She's afraid that she will never find someone to love her for who she is, so that in itself made her relatable to me. Especially since most people feel that way no matter how they identify sexually.
