Ancient Rome historical romance. Spoilers ahead.

need help. book is about a roman woman and her male slave (told from both pov) he chariot races for the emperor (i think) and wins the races he is put in. but near the end of the book his best horse is recovering from poisoning and he races him knowing itll be his last race. and at the end of the book she is knocked unconscious by a runaway buggy and he and some other people start to pray for her and she wakes up and they go to his home land with a offspring of the horse that died. ps the two women at the beginning of the book are deciding which slave each one wants and mentions their " swords". would like to read this book again.
