Two girls are hanging out in an abandoned barn (I think) drinking alcohol. they live in a slightly rural area in the middle of nowhere America (there was mention of corn fields I think). It's the last summer before they head off to college, and while drunk they make a dare and eat something weird in the barn (a bat, I think?).

The next day, they start seeing visions of the future. The future they see is somewhat similar to The Handmaid's Tale. America is split into two, where one side is very much against women having free will. The pov character sees herself fighting in the conflict of this future, among other things.

That's all I can remember. I read this book about 5 years ago.
