The Revisioners is structured as different narratives, each featuring a woman trying to free herself from some kind of crisis. What are the nature of these crises, and what, if anything, do they have in common?

I agree, the main female characters were all dealing with and overcoming oppression in their lives. I really thought the author did a great job of showing the characters strengths throughout their struggles.
