The Fellowship of the Ring was just done as a BOTM, I don't believe The Two Towers has ever been done as a BOTM so that should be next.

Seconding is no longer allowed since we were not getting the numbers to fill out polls with them.

The Day of the Triffids for sci-fi please Wayland (I'm using the app so struggling to check, but don't think it's been read by the group)

Jessica, I'm finding a few books of that name. Could you give me a link or an author?

Ok, awaiting responses to a few questions.
I'd say we're good on fantasy, but feel free to nominate if you are so moved.
We could use a few more Sci fi ones.
Edited Return of the King to The Two Towers per Roger's note.

If you mean Rendezvous with Rama, we did that in 2017

Wayland, there's a number of Arthur C Clarke's with 'Rama' in the title - I'm guessing the next in the series :)

Looking into the library, Rama II by Arthur C. Clarke is the sequel to Randez with Rama. Maybe that's what Christopher meant.

Laura, making the change.
Freya, Eric, I will make it Rama II.
Nominations will close and polls will open at some point tomorrow as life allows.

Yes indeed!

Yes indeed!"
And then there was the Culture Club song that referenced it, Rama Chameleon...
I'll get my coat.

Right. You. Out! *points to the door*
That was bad enough to be something I'd say...

Sometimes a pained groan is as a good a result as a hearty laugh :)
Ok folks, now that I'm back up again, I'm putting in my own nomination, and closing this down. Polls will be up today.

Books can not be self-published, no nominating your own work (I feel the pain there), no audio book only, must be actually available in both Europe and North America by Sept 1.
If you're unclear, check the book shelf. No repeats of books we've already read, series must be done in order (don't nominate book 2 first, or go from 2 to 4. 5 is right out.)
Due to some problems with numbers lately, no seconding others' choices.
Void where prohibited, some settling may occur during shipping, consult your physician in case of unexpected side effects.
Got all that? Now for the fun part.
