This is the most important house flip I’ve ever done. It’s a gorgeous California home by a known architect, it contains the final piece of the map we need to unite the magical realms, and the body of Byron, my demigod ghost, is supposedly here. That’s a lot on one girl’s plate.

Of course, no home renovation is without surprises. In this case we have a whole slew of nosy old wizard neighbors, a lonely undine who lives in the pool and won’t leave, 1970s decor worthy of the Brady Bunch, and my struggles not to get distracted by Byron, Graham, Jake and Jasper and get stuff done. But the biggest surprises come when we unite the magical realms for the first time in a thousand years and bring Byron to life…a begin to uncover a dark truth about wizard’s familiars.

We thought they were faithful companions, but it appears that part of the reason for breaking the realms apart was to bind them to our side. Now, they’re free and the wizard councils aren’t happy about it, to say the least. My cousin Piers is determined to undo my work, and my royal blood might be the only thing that can stop him—but at what cost?

I thought book one was super promising but after that it just wasn't organized and following a single plot line enough for me. I feel like the author really wanted to write a flipper series and messed it all up with the supernatural aspects. The flipper stuff was actually the only organized and ongoing aspect that was really given detail etc. Everything else just seems like an afterthought.

I wonder if she set out to write a supernatural series and got herself distracted by HGTV and some Johanna Gains tv or something and ended up writing a bunch of that in lol. (hide spoiler)]

I’m glad her cousin is g9ne but ummm I thought she was actually going to transform into this all powerful witch and yet still had to be saved by her bro. Omg yes, the emoji displays it all lol. (view spoiler)[So many stupid storylines that make no sense. Ike Gaston and Billie. Then suddenly Bevan becomes a bigger character out of nowhere.
I hated her brother having to save them. She was all about women taking back their place in the witching world. plus we’re hounded by how powerful her and blood are, yet her lowLy cousin keeps kicking all their asses time after time. And ummm considering Byron is a demigod, wtf where’s his power smh. The concept was there but the author was way too unorganized in the delivery. (hide spoiler)]
