Isobel states “But isn’t absurdity the best part of being human? We aren’t ageless creatures who watch centuries pass from afar. Our worlds are small, our lives short, and we can only bleed a little before we fall.” Why is the quote important to the story?

Lacey (libqueen10) | 29 comments In my opinion, it’s a lesson to enjoy life to the fullest, regardless of how long or short it can be because you never know when you will take your last breath. Appreciate the gifts that are bestowed upon us. Although the fair folk are immortal, they can actually die, and nobody will remember them when they do because the humans don’t live long enough to remember, and the other fair folk lack emotion or memory to care.
