I read this book when I was in middle school, around 2001-2003. In this book, the boy gets kidnapped at a school field trip to the zoo. Spends many years in the basement with other children who were also kidnapped. Ends up getting rescued and meets his real family at the hospital. Siblings don’t believe him. Things happen, bad guy comes back and then there is a huge showdown in the family’s sailboat. He instinctively grabs something heavy (a fire extinguisher?) from a cabinet and hits bad guy. Siblings now believe him. What is the title??
