SOLVED. 90s Australian 4 part teen series. B1 Madeline? B3 Rebecca. [s]

I read this 4 part series in the 90s as a teen and can see the covers (yellow/green with each girl on the front). Book one was Madeline (?) who had red hair and was trying to solve something with an Aborigine boy she started dating. I can’t recall book 2 and 4. Book 3 I am sure was Rebecca, who was a ‘plain Jane type’. All 4 girls found some sort of romance while trying to solve the plot. I can’t recall what the series was called or the author. And it’s been driving me mad for ages!
