Here you can nominate books that were first published in French by authors from Central Africa (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Republic of the Congo).

Try to keep nominations to one per person - and you're welcome to second someone else's nomination.

Sorry for my late answer. We already had Tram 83 as a regional group read before. You can still participate in the discussion here (no spoilers) and here (spoilers allowed).

We still welcome other nominations for our Sep-Oct Central Africa read in French!

Laura | 285 comments Hi Wim. I know we have read a book by Janis Otsiemi already, but I fancy a 'light' read, as in fast paced and modern. So, I nominate Les voleurs de Sexe by this author!

Les voleurs de sexe is an excellent suggestion, Laura.

I would like to nominate Crépuscule du tourment by Léonora Miano.

Hello Nicole,

This topic is for books originally published in French. Behold the Dreamers was our regional group read in Jan-Feb 2019, you can still join the discussion here.

You can look at our group's bookshelf for suggestions for CAR.

Nominations for Central Africa are closed and the poll has ended.

We will be reading L'anté-peuple by the Congolese author Sony Labou Tansi.
