Please delete these books from my author page. They are not mine.

This issue keeps happening. Can you please remove these books from my author page? I am not the author of these titles: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

Is there some way to contact that author and let them know that they keep uploading their books to my author page? It looks bad to have that type of book under my author page, when, that is clearly not the genre I write.

I have moved them. No one is uploading them; they are coming in via automated import.

Goodreads disambiguates between authors of the same name by using spaces between the author's first and last name.

Your author profile has 1 space which is considered the "default profile, and everything written by an author with the same name will automatically import to your profile.

When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or any other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile.

If you prefer not to have the default profile, you can contact Goodreads support, and ask them to move your profile so it is not the default profile.

When you have a new publication, you can post in this forum to have it moved from the default profile to yours.

Its an option.

Thanks for the help and info! Neither of these options really sounds ideal. Sure seems like a lot of moving and deleting or adding either way. Wish Goodreads could come up with something a bit better in terms of authors with the same name. Thx

It takes a librarian less than 2 minutes to move a book. If you want to be off the default profile, it is very quick to move something to your profile.

An automated system of separated authors still leaves a lot to be desired, as there is still a great deal of room for errors. The people factor is still important.
