Captain Kidd has a unique job. Other than getting paid, what do you think he gets out of his job as a news reader?

Maybe it’s his connection to the world of printing. He seems to miss that work.

I think it was the connection to print, as Lyn noted, but also bringing the news and information to different communities. He seemed to enjoy the entertainment value it brought to others.
