I really liked this read, it was the perfect read for me when I was younger (this is a re-read for me) and it still is! I liked how it can be similar to other books that I loved but it's also so unique!
i completely see what you mean! the books have parts that i love and parts that are similar to others and they all entwine together to create a great story!!
I'm enjoying this book too. I like how they're turning fairy tale tropes on their head. Team Agatha!
This book was a real eye opener for me. I started out with an audio copy, and I was having a really hard time with the story, lets just say the narrator did Sophie a little too well. I couldn't stand it. And I was so disappointed because I was really liking the story and some of my family had read it and were swearing up and down that I would love it. So I tried again, this time with a print book, and it blew me away. From then on I make sure to give books and audiobooks a second chance.
But I can still hear that narrator sometimes....it really grinned my gears!
hahaha! i’ve been reading it with audio and i haven’t minded the narrator so far but I love love LOVE this story and what it does
Hi! I made a group completely dedicated to SGE if anyone wants to join! Here's the link:https://www.goodreads.com/group/invit...
I read a lot of the reviews, and a lot of people said they liked it better the first time. Does anyone else feel the same? Why or why not?

I liked it more the first time because I had absolutely no idea what to expect or about the plot twists, and the character development was a ride I just had to sit on and see where it went (which I enjoyed don't get me wrong!). I actually am a big re-reader, so it's pretty rare for me to like reading a book the first time more, but I did for this series!

I also think because I was younger when I first read the series I related to the characters more compared to now!
