looks-Acacia has medium-shade red hair that is straight with a bit of a wave to it. It reaches around the ends of her shoulder blades. Her skin is pale, and she has a smattering of freckles on her face as well as on the backs of her hands. Her eyes are a bright blue. She is around 5' 4" and is muscular enough to lift some heavy objects but not overly muscled.
Personality-Acacia is generally soft-hearted and wants to help people who used to be worse off than her family. However, her temper can sometimes be bad and she may start a fight if someone offends her mother or brothers. She is on the quieter side, other than that, and doesn't really have a joking side to her, except when she is with her two best friends from her childhood. She can be protective and fierce, and doesn't like hurting anyone unless it is self-defense. Even then, she knows using a stick as a practice sword when nobody is looking is nothing compared to possibly being chosen for the Hunger Games, and she dreads the possibility.
history-Acacia grew up with her mother, father, and two younger siblings, Cole and Marius, who are twins and two years younger than her. Her mother was a teacher at the local elementary school while her father and brothers, when old enough, worked in District 12's mines. They were never super wealthy, but not the district's poorest, either thanks to her mother's job and her grandmother once winning the Hunter Games (she died when Acacia was young, however). She grew up learning basic self-defense from her mother and how to use a sword (sticks, since they didn't have a weapon), but she could never get the hang of archery so made the possibly-bad choice to abandon the sport when she was younger. She doesn't want to teach when she is older, but instead wants to go into work to help those who are less fortunate, even though her family is not perfectly well off. However, when Acacia was fifteen, her mother died from a a bad case of the flu, plunging the family into real poverty. Acacia's father has been a drunk now for a year, and Acacia now finds herself having to deal with that and help her brothers.

weaknesses-archery; a bit too soft-hearted if in the hunger games, and yet also has a temper, getting her into trouble
Likes-cats; swordplay (she used to play with large sticks with her mother, whose own own mother was reaped years ago in the Hunter Games, won, and then taught her daughter the basics of using a sword in the event she was ever reaped--she taught her defense and the best places to trick and attack a person); going on jogs; rain;
dislikes- archery (not good at it); large dogs; bullies; when people in charge demean those they rule/look after; romance
That's a lot. Also, it isn't realistic that she is a good swimmer since she is in District 12, it doesn't really have water.
Except if she went to the pound in the forest

Ok, once she is approved, you can rp her in D12. You put her name in the "pot" aka the Reaping topic. The Hunger Games are currently in process, so you'll have to wait a bit.
Right, okay! I wasn't sure if she was approved or not, so I just wanted to check. Yep, that's fine, I knew I'd have to wait I just wanted to get a character out anyway. And in terms of putting her in the "pot" do I just add to the chat that I'd like her to be considered for the next rp? (Once she's approved, of course)

Personality: Jaryn is shy but focused, and when he sets his mind to something he usually follows through. Sensitive, quiet
History: He has parents who are fishers, and he has an older sister who is 15, and they are not super wealthy but not the poorest of the poor either.
Skills: swimming; throwing things; listening to others; being there for people; he is okay at running but not the very best--he finds swimming much easier
Weaknesses: hand to hand combat; running a lot; he isn't strong
Other: He is scared of being in the Hunger Games but he volunteered for his cousin, who was chosen for the male tribute for District 4 and is even weaker than he is, and who would leave behind his parents with nobody, whereas Jaryn has a sister who can help the family is he dies
