The Night Land by William Hope Hodgson is a 1912 horror classic that was deliberately written in very dense, archaic language. This Audible edition has apparently "translated" the language to standard modern English to make it more accessible. It also appears to be shorter than the original story (only 10 hours versus around 18 hours for the other two Audible editions that read the original work). Does this qualify as an adaptation?
