Are you willing to read more than the one book required for the week? some weeks depending on what else is due at the library
I've posted the first week's tasks early so that everyone can see what to expect
the tasks to be like. You'll find it in the 'GISH rules, info and tasks' thread. The following weeks' tasks will be similar.
Remember that the harder the task, the more points it will earn. Maybe.
Have fun speculating :)

HOW does one make a foot long s'more without using hands? 🤔😕😲😨*mind bloowwwnnnnnnnn*
Just saw the sample tasks. I'm definitely in! Plenty to choose from so I think it will be okay.
I could be a scorekeeper... is that different than the captain?
But not two books in a week. Just not realistic for me.

Are you willing to read more than the one book required for the week? Willing? Yes. Able? Probably not.
The only problem with this group challenge is that, unlike during the actual Hunt, you can't blame everything on Misha. Then again, him and Vicki aren't making up the requirements, so that'll help a ton (no buses driven into active volcanoes, and nobody has to find any senators or Fortune 500 CEOs to do silly stuff). That wedding dress made out of office paper was annoyingly difficult to put together, and I had such a tricky time making the earbuds look good on my crocheted replica of my mp3 player.
Also, to anybody who hasn't signed up yet for one of the craziest and best weeks of your life, Gish is beyond awesome, and it's a great way to make new friends. This year, it runs from August 1-8, and Misha has it modified for stay at home type items. Also, for the first time, it's gonna be Gish Summer Camp. Every registration helps feed 15 children in need. ^_^
Gish Summer Camp 2020
Okay, I'm done now.
P.S. The guy sticking his tongue out in my profile picture is Misha Collins, for anybody that didn't know.

MandiannNo, sorry, my memory is bad and I have a toddler so checking us in could run into time problems with naps and bedtime.
I might be able to read an extra book on occasion but definitely not every week.
Yes, spreadsheet would be the easiest way to track completions and points. A 2for1 deal. :) It can do math for you when your brain is fried.

I agree, just need someone good with the formulas, etc to set one up in Goolge Sheets that each teams can copy. Wish I was better at more than just the basic stuff.

If you need a spreadsheet for scores and everything, here's an 8-week design one everyone can use:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1owU1...
Note: As I have no idea what the scores will be for each task, I made them all equal to 1 so far. These will be easily amendable as soon as they are known.

Teams have been posted in Message 1 of this thread.
Captains, go ahead and set up your thread. You'll need to decide your team name and how to keep score. (A scorekeeper can use a spreadsheet or just set up a reporting thread and keep a running total.)
Find out if anyone has a conflict and will be absent from the challenge. One of your team members can be the Designated Double Book Reader (DDBR :) for that person. The same applies if a team member has an emergency and isn't able to complete a book for that week.
Info to post on your team threads:
How to Play:
* Each team member will need to read one book each week.
* The book must match a task from that week's list.
* Books must be at least 140 pages. Audio book page length is determined by the first paper version that shows up.
You may not start reading your book before Monday morning (Pacific Daylight Time and
you must finish reading your book by Sunday night (midnight, Pacific Daylight Time).
