Ok cool!

If everyone sticks to their chosen books with the tags, then we're definitely good or Round 1 in that area :-) Nicely done everyone!

Monica (nutz4reading) I haven’t read much the past few days. My boyfriends birthday is today so I’ve been preparing for that. Do I have to change the start date on my books. I put them as currently reading before the start so I knew what books to have out.

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments Hey E and Megan. Looks like I'm not on the "Tasks" sheet yet of the Shanarra workbook. Probably an oversight as I was a replacement player. Just wanted to point it out so my books can count towards our score!

Ah yes, very true, I hadn't thought about that particular tab when sorting everything else. Thanks!

No worries, it would count one way or another, but please pick the task you'd like the book to count for.

Yes, please change the starting date so it's clear you have started reading them once the challenge actually started and not before. :-)

Eldarwen | 13913 comments Mod
Attention please!

Just a little note:

When you're doing your completion posts, please pick one task. Since you are the ones who know which books you might be reading over the course of the challenge (for those who may be working off a reading plan or similar), Megan and I will not be choosing the tasks the books work for. That is up to you.

If you're confused by the numbers on the spreadsheet, that was just me putting some in to prompt you guys not to forget. Those are just examples of tasks they might work for but obviously not all.

The tasks are your individual ones, so do as you wish! :-)
Just preferably have as many books fit tasks so that we can gain a maximum of points hehe.

Thanks guys!

Amanda (writers_soul) | 426 comments I should have “This is Where it Ends” finished Monday night/ Tuesday morning. I would have finished it yesterday but I’m in the capstone for my Masters class and today is the last day so I had to be responsible and do homework 😂 (I’m still sneaking in reading time, don’t tell anyone 🤫)

Keri | 379 comments Sorry team! I’m here :-)
Thanks captain for messaging me!!

I’m normally very active on here, this week has just been bad—with my wifi our and mandatory OT I had to work late every night, and also on Saturday. Finally a day off today!

Here’s my thread: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
How do you guys do it where you change the name in the link?

message 177: by Keri (new)

Keri | 379 comments Also, hi I’m Keri and I’m in the US, from Ohio!
The first challenge I ever did on goodreads was UNO and I loved it and it’s still one of my favorites. It started me on a full on team challenge addiction :-)
Last year I did tower teams and this will be my first Wheel a thon and I’m excited!!!

Cyndee!! We’ve been on so many team together and I never knew were both from Ohio!! :-)

Keri | 379 comments Can you guys widen the tasks column on the spreadsheet? I only have view access and it won’t let me widen it so I can’t see what the tasks are.
I’ll try to find a book for one of the spellout letters for now.

Keri | 379 comments Well I just found out I’ve been booted from the team. I’m sorry to you all I was looking so forward to playing. With my wifi out, I made the mistake of quickly replying on my already active challenges when I was at a friends house after work using the wifi there and figured the weekend was when mine got fixed and I knew this one didn’t start til the 12th. It’s my bad that I didn’t realize we had to check in way before. I didn’t get any of my actual messages until this morning. Just another thing to add to the horrible luck for me this week—it’s been an incredibly bad one :/. There are a lot of people with much worse things happening to them than I’ve been facing so I’m trying to remain positive!!
I hope you guys have a good challenge and I’ll still be on your team in spirit! I wish it wasn’t too late to keep me on the team!

Hello hello Keri!

It's nice to see you pop in!

The thing is however, since you didn't check in neither when teams were first announced, nor after my message nor after the message you have received by the mods, that you have been replaced in the meantime.

If you wish, you can be put on the reserve list and in case somebody has to drop from the challenge, you can replace them - on whichever team may require a reserve player. However, you are unfortunately no longer a member of team Shannara.

Sorry! But as a team challenge veteran, you know the drill :-)

LOL actually I had no idea, I haven’t had any situation like this before so I’ve always been able to check in in plenty of time :/
Now that I was able to get all my messages today I am up to speed on all that stuff and everyone can be sure that will never happen for me again!! :-)
I’m just so sorry and bummed this happened

No, we didn't do a compilation because the idea behind the tasks is that people go ask for recommendations.

Besides, it's recommendations from other teams you need to read, not from ours :-)

On the "All About" thread, i.e. the rules, there is post that gathers all the links from the various teams where they're sharing their recommendations - those who are doing it that way.
