Gabriela (hey it's gabs) (heyitsgabs) | 29 comments may 28: if anyone still hangs out in this group, i can make a set of prompts for the month, if you'd like

may 29:
Okay everyone, here the topics I made up for June.

June 3rd: Comfort Reads
These are the books, that no matter what’s going on, will always bring a sense of safety and peace to you. Which is something we could all do with currently. They might be books from your childhood, or a really cute contemporary, but all around they’re feel good books.

June 10th: Books with an LGBT+ Element
June says gay rights, so adapt this category to the exact topic you want to discuss. Some ideas, overall LGBT+ books, LGBT+ authors, LGBT+ characters, LGBT+ romances/couples, etc.

June 17th: Writing Styles
These are the books that have a truly beautiful or immersive writing style.

June 24th: Unexplored Genres and/or Tropes
Most of us will have a typical genre or few that we mostly stick to when we read, so for this we’re going to discuss genres or tropes that you haven’t read before, or aren’t particularly well read in. For an example, some of mine would be: zombies, high fantasy and thrillers.

I hope these topics spark some interest, happy reading!

nice post! I've tried reading Pride and Prejudice, but everytime I just give up... The characters all seem petty and annoying... How is the movie in comparison to the book? Decent? If so, I may try that.

Clémence (clemireads) | 51 comments Thank you! I still think the movies are pretty faithful to the books so idk but you may want to try the Keira Knightley version since it's not that long!
