Frank (franklekens) | 21 comments The classics are often present in dozens, sometimes even hundreds of edtiions, especially if they're also translated and/or receive scholarly editions.

I run into two problems with this.

1) Supose I want to read Balzac's Splendeurs et misères des courtisanes in French, I have a specific edition of this text. But what's the easiest way of finding a specific edition in a list of 230 (!) editions that seem to be presented in a random order. With (even weirder) one English edition at the top.

2) Secondly, I've just picked a random French edition to put on my currently reading shelf.
But I read it in tandem with the English translation. How can I add *both* to the currently reading shelf? Everytime I add one, and go the indivual page of the other edition, it's indicated as already being on my "currently reading" shelf. But it's not displayed there. Is it impossible to be "reading" (in Goodreads terms) two editions of a single text at the same time?
