K Gonzales (karagonz) | 10 comments On FB, I asked if we should do only books everyone could easily find online. Christine suggested classics, if we go that route, because those would be easier to access. So I made a few suggestions for classics:
Native Son
Things Fall Apart
Sometimes a Great Notion
Woman in the Dunes
Martian Chronicles

Terry added some suggestions:
The Night Circus
The Starless Sea
Dante's Garden (yes!)
Geek Love
Lewis Carroll bio

Tamarinbin | 4 comments Has anyone read The Blind Owl? I see some pdfs online but possibly the translation might be an issue

K Gonzales (karagonz) | 10 comments I have not. Anyone else?

K Gonzales (karagonz) | 10 comments ok so we have a vote for Martian Chronicles or Native Son.

Anyone have links to either of those books? For one, if you start a free 30-day trial on, you can have access to tons of books...but only during that free trial. LOL

Josh Center (meatyurologist) | 1 comments I’ve been using Hoopla quite a bit for ebooks and audiobooks. You just need a library card.

I’d be into Martian Chronicles, as it’s one I’ve always meant to get to.

Kelsey (swabidose) | 3 comments I'd be into Martian Chronicles! ALSO I work for the library. Lots of copies of it available right now as both physical book (more copies) or e-licenses.

And Terry's suggestions, any of them I'd be in for as well!

K Gonzales (karagonz) | 10 comments ok, I think we have our book selection. Now to comb through Brandon's book shelves to find his copy :) I dwindled down my books long ago and have only one shelf now.
