Dan | 331 comments I did a search on the word "Firbolg" for our group and it comes up empty. Looks like a cool if really obscure publisher of literary horror: Their Facebook page looks more up to date:

Dan | 331 comments A vanity publisher is one in which you basically pay them to print your book. You then try to maybe make your money back and a bit of profit by selling it yourself. It's usually not a good idea to read books published this way because the editing is as poor as the writer's ability to edit, which is almost never to standard. Also, if there's something really wrong with the logic of a plot, there's no editor to suggest improvements. For these reasons I would never recommend a vanity press.

I did not see any evidence that Firblog was one. Calling them defunct or of very low output might be valid criticisms, but vanity? That is a surprise.
