I think this topic gives us a wider berth than we might think. Here are a few nominations to get us started:

Gorillas in the Mist
The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World
Silent Spring

Marta (gezemice) | 77 comments The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History
Also, +1 to Silent Spring

I have read The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs and I enjoyed it.

Sam | 52 comments Braiding Sweetgrass is on my list and I'd also read Sixth Extinction, which I've mean to read and haven't!

Shubham Raj (memberofspew) +1 to The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History

Also adding The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution

Sam | 52 comments I would also like to recommend The Dreamt Land by Mark Arax--about water, ag, and impacts on environment in CA, with a little memoir woven in I believe. Has gotten great reviews--came out last year.
